ABC…..H is for Hiking!
It’s that time of the week again! Time for the ABC Friday Photo Share brought to you by Mom vs the Boys and Maple Leaf Mommy!
This week H is for hiking!
I was a member of the Girl Guides of Canada for over ten years and they developed my love of nature and being outdoors and I hope to pass this love on to my boys.
We are lucky enough that we live super close to the city but are surrounded by such beautiful nature trails and it is not uncommon to see deer in the morning as we get ready to go to school (I will admit the first time we saw a deer a couple of feet away on this trail I had a small freak out and made my eldest son sing really loud with me in the hopes that it wouldn’t come closer- was having nightmares of being attacked by a deer similar to the ones they show on TV all the time!!).
This little hiking trail is one of our favourites and has been lovingly nicknamed, Shrek’s Forest!
You can link up your ABC Friday Photo Share here.
Oh I haven't went hiking in years! With our youngest turning 3, we should start taking the boys.
Love hiking with the boys – I had stopped for a couple of years and we have really just started getting back into it recently. Missed it so much!
I miss hiking! I hope spring hurries up!

http://www.homeofohm.com/2013/03/abc-friday-h-is-for-hoops-yoyo.html
I hope spring hurries up too!!!
we love love love to hike! I can't wait to get out with the boys this year!
The ones that get attacked on TV usually have themselves doused in deer urine so you are probably pretty safe!!
The deer was so beautiful and just stood there a couple feet away from us just watching us – was beautiful though! (even if I was scared!)
I was a guide too! And a brownie leader :o)
I love going on hikes, my kids need to be a little older before I will venture out with them

http://littlemisskate.ca/2013/02/abc-h-is-for-hug/
Loved my years as a Girl Guide and later volunteering – I miss it so much! Those were some amazing years.
A nice picture to get us pumped for spring!
I have a (US) National Forrest in my backyard, but it's NOT the kind you want to hike through. It's not safe to hike near my home anyway, it's a severe drop, almost straight down and then back up. No loss though, it's not my sort of thing. I'd rather play in my flower beds. ;)

Thanks for stopping by DealsFromMsDo.com and checking out my H is for pic!
I love gardens but I am awful for some reason at having them grow, they usually die on me quickly. I have tried everything! Its my goal this spring/summer to maintain our garden 🙂
