Number One Sport Fanatic! #FutureFanatics
I have a home full of sports fanatics. Soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey – you name it they love it! We are raising two young future Fanatics in our home and I could not be prouder!
From the time that our boys were born they were sporting their jerseys of their future favourite teams (a.k.a. Mom’s favourite teams – The Maple Leafs and the Raptors – woohoo let’s go Toronto!). Saturday night was always hockey night in our home growing up and I loved the family bonding time it provided us with. I want my children to experience this love as well.
What started out as a once weekly family sports night has turned into watching games together almost every night and now with the FIFA games on my poor cable box is full of recordings of each match! But they love it and we love it. There is nothing better then spending two hours cheering, shouting and laughing with each other. The boys take it one step further and head outside to practice their moves on the court and on the field (honestly can’t even keep up with them anymore!).
The best moments for them have been when they have attended live events (which has not been many but they have definitely been cherished moments!). The picture above was from my son’s first Raptor game and he was so over the moon before and after the game. It was all he talked about for a month straight! These are the moments we hope they remember forever.

I am not a fan of sports nor do I have children. Of course being from NY I do love the Yankees and the Mets-not that I watch the games mind you–but I'm a fan just the same!

No kids here, but my husband and I both played soccer growing up, so maybe our future little ones will, too!
We aren't sports fan but we are music lovers.
My little one played three seasons of soccer and one of t-ball. We love watching the World Cup Games too.
My son just started soccer. He cried a bit yesterday as the timing is a bit late so he is tired then. Once he started he loved it though 🙂
My little guy is a bit young for soccer yet but I cant wait to enroll him as soon as he is ready 🙂 Great post!
