Our Little Garden #WW w/linky
My little garden is coming along nicely! We have planted some carrots in as well as hanging herbs from the fence. We had a white fly problem so I was told that aluminum foil helps rebel them and it worked so well!
Here is our little garden:

Dream Big! You Can with I Can! Kids Books! #review & #giveaway
My children are my everything – I want them to know how much I believe in them, how strong they are, how they are able to do whatever they want to do in life if they believe in themselves. They are smart young children who are capable of accomplishing anything they set their minds to.
Sometimes we all need that extra little reminder. I Can! Kids Books were developed to remind children that they have the strength, determination, courage and smarts to achieve all of their goals and help inspire them to do so. Pretty incredible right?!
I Can! Kids Books allows children (and their parents or family member!) personalize their own story with their friends, their favourite things to do and their goals. The stories encourage and inspire children to constantly reach for their goals. Creating a book is easy to do – we were able to create our own in under five minutes. Our son loved how he could personalize it with his friends and his favourite team.
I Can! Kids also has a great section for teachers! With valuable activities for teachers that will help to foster these important values in children and also meet curriculum objectives – it is a win win for all involved.
There are many things we can do at home to encourage confidence and courage in our children.
- Always remember to celebrate your child’s uniqueness.
- Let them make mistakes at home and help them understand why it happened and how it can be done differently.
- Model what you are trying to teach your children – love and believe in yourself!
- Teach your children that what they feel about themselves is more important then what others may think.
I Can! Kids is now giving my readers a chance to win one of three personalized e-books to help foster confidence in the special child in your life!
Canadian readers, 18 years of age and older can enter via the Rafflecopter form below! GOOD LUCK!

Raptor 6 #review
His mission and his team. Captain Dean Watters keeps these two items in laser like focus at all times. So when hackers threaten both his mission and his team, his Special Forces training kicks into high gear. Ten military super-secure computers are missing – which if opened would give America’s enemies a blueprint of US military intelligence. Failing to stop these hackers is not an option.
Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary teacher to Afghan children in Mazar-e Sharif. She is also a target – American born and an expertise in quantum cryptology makes her an unwilling pawn in the hackers’ deadly game. They are coming for her and Dean and his team must stop them.
Before his team can get to her, she disappears. Now Dean must race to rescue her and stop the hackers from unleashing terror on millions across the globe. But to do so, Dean will be forced to crack open the steel box around his heart – a move that might come at the higher cost.
An incredibly well written and fast paced novel, Raptor 6 is a definite must read. At the beginning I found it slightly hard to follow but I liked how that fit into the current situation and the chaos that was happening in the book. The story evolves with the reader – both only receiving information at the same time as the mission changes. It really helps to draw you in to the story. The pressures that Dean face and eventually having to face his past and his fears were mind blowing. By three quarters of the way through the book you literally can not put it down in anticipation of what will happen next. It was definitely unlike any other book I have read before and one that I have started to re-read again.
